Structure and Surface-Exploring Materials for Encaustic Sculpture
In this video workshop we will explore the intensely rewarding experience of working three-dimensionally using traditional sculptural processes combined with encaustic painting. The focus will be on using lightweight armatures created with polystyrene foam, wire, aluminum foil and wire mesh with a variety of skins compatible to wax surface treatments. The emphasis will be on creating several sample pieces so that artists can enlarge their tool box of choices for taking their encaustic work off the wall.
