Facilities
The Old Convent is now the new Mulranny Art School. It has a large renovated classroom with views of Clew Bay, a chapel with amazing acoustics for musical events and meeting spaces for creative gatherings. The promise to grow the campus includes a woodworking shop and a classroom for children, but more on that later.
Retreat students are accommodated in rental cottages and houses within walking distance of the school. All rooms are private with most having ensuite bathrooms.
Vegetarian and special diets are gladly catered for with meal preparations done by village hosts, local restaurants and guest house accommodations.
The village has one small grocery store, post office, 3 pubs, seasonal cafes and the Mulranny Park Hotel and Leisure center. There are several scenic walks and a bike rental facility on The Great Western Greenway which runs directly behind the village.
