Color Theory: Creating Color with a Limited Palette
Painting with a limited palette will improve your color-mixing skills and confidence. Using fewer pigments to create a wide variety of color will bring many benefits to your art practice. You will learn how to mix any color and that tone is the most important factor in matching a color. I will teach you how to mix a diverse range of hues using Encaustic paint and how to create different values and tone. The limited palette will consist of the primary colors: phthalo blue, Quinacridone Magenta, and Cadium Medium Yellow with the additions of Titanium White and Burnt Umber.
